Raymond J. Plasky, age 76 of Plover passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday November 25, 2014. Raymond was born on January 18, 1938 in Portage County.
He was the son of the late Peter and Viola (Kowalski) Plasky. He attended local schools. His marriage to his beloved wife Shirley Herrick took place on September 12, 1959 at St. Bronislava Catholic Church Plover.
After spending a couple years at Vetter's Manufacturing, Raymond spent most of his 35 year working career at Georgia Pacific Port Edwards.
During his 55 years of undying love and affection for his beautiful sweetheart Shirley, he warmly shared meaningful time and laughs with his daughter, enjoyed fishing and hunting with his sons and spending time with his grandchildren. Ray proudly loved his garden, afternoons of Cribbage, and playing with pal Missy, his Yorkshire terrier. He will be fondly remembered for his kind-heart and his selfless generosity.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Plasky of Plover, two sons, Michael Plasky of Biron and Patrick Plasky of Amherst, and one daughter, Debra (Scott) Jackson of Amherst. In addition he is survived by his loving grandchildren, Lisa Plasky, Shannon Wysocki and John Wysocki.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl, son Brian, Sister Carol and Brother George.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday November 28, 2014, at 11:00a.m. at St. Bronislava Catholic Church Plover. Burial took place in the Restlawn Cemetery Wisconsin Rapids.
