Rhody P. Tuszka:
Age 77, of Stevens Point, died Sunday, November 27, 2011 at his residence surrounded by family. He was under the care of his family and Ministry Home Care Hospice.
Rhody was born May 26, 1934 in Stevens Point. The son of the late Steve and Johanna (Filtz) Tuszka.
He graduated from the University of Minnesota where he played football from 1954 to 1958.
His marriage to Nancy Cherry took place on Aug. 17, 1957 in Attica, NY. She survives.
Rhody was a Physical Education Teacher and a coach in West St. Paul, MN where he mentored and influenced many young lives.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Rhody's name to the University of Minnesota football program would be appreciated.
Survivors include his wife: Nancy, one son: Mark (Stacy) Tuszka of Warner, SD, and one daughter: Michon (Doug) Willman of Lakeville, MN. Four grandsons, two brothers: Dale (Gay) Tuszke and Stephen (Loretta) Tuszka both of Stevens Point. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
There will be no formal funeral services, but friends and family will have a time to gather from 3 to 5 PM Wednesday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home at 703 Second St. in Stevens Point.
