Richard D. Mansavage
Age 71 of Plover, WI passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 30, 2017 after a courageous battle against multiple health issues. Born in Stevens Point, WI on November 16, 1945 to the late Edward and Lucille (Adamczak) Mansavage. Richard attended St. Peter Catholic school and Pacelli High School.
He entered the U.S. Air Force August 23, 1963 and honorably discharged in 1967. His marriage to Jeanette Stanislawski took place on December 7, 1968 at St. Joseph's Church Stevens Point, after their marriage they settled in Plover. His wife Jeanette survives.
Richard worked as Assistant Manager at Robby's Restaurant before becoming employed at the US Postal Service in Stevens Point where he retired after 35 years of service on November 1, 2009.
In his free time Richard enjoyed fishing, playing cards, camping with his summer buddies at Wildlife Campground for over 30 years, and spending time with his family and friends especially with his grandchildren.
He was a member of St. Bronislava's Holy Name, PLAV Post #185, Moose Lodge #1572, and the Elks Lodge #641 of Stevens Point.
Survivors include his wife Jeanette, one daughter Marcia (Karl) Orlikowski of Custer, two sons William (Tom Walczak) Mansavage, of Plover; Jason (Jessica) Mansavage of Stevens Point. Four grandchildren Amber and Derek Orikowski, Owen and Bennett Mansavage.
Brother, LeRoy (Pat) Mansavage of Jamestown N.D. Also survived by nieces, nephews, a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Father-In-Law Julius Stanislawski, Mother-In-Law Virginia Stanislawski, brother Kenneth Mansavage and sister LaNaeh Laszewski.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday October 4, 2017 at St. Bronislava Catholic Church 3200 Plover Road, Plover. Rev. Edward Shuttleworth officiating. Private burial will take place at a later date. Visitation on Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Pisarski Funeral Home in PLOVER and again on Wednesday from 9:30 am until time of service at church. A Parish Rosary along with the St. Bronislava Holy Name will be prayed at 6:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
