Richard W Franklin was born on 12/31/1948 in Long Beach, California. He died peacefully, following a brief fight with lung cancer on 12/31/2014.
Richard is the son of the late Donald Franklin and Mary Wagner. He graduated in 1967 from Narbonne High School in Harbor City, CA. He served in the US Marine Corp and was honorably discharged in 1971. He retired from Pacific Gas and Electric as a Distribution Supervisor of Gas Transmission & Regulation in 2009 when he then moved to Stevens Point, WI. Richard enjoyed spending time with his friends and liked to bike along the Green Circle Trail. He also enjoyed kayaking, boating and fishing.
Richard is survived by his wife, Wendy, of Stevens Point, and his 2 sons and their families, Justin and April along with their children, Jairin, Derek and Reese (Hawaii) and Donald and Carrie along with their children, Tristan and Maisie (California). He is further survived by his 2 sisters Donna (Steven) Younkin (Nevada) and Jeanne Foley (Massachusetts), and 1 sister-in-law, Barbara (Bill) Shova (California).
