Richard P. "Rick" Makuski Jr., 62, of Stevens Point, died on Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Ministry St. Michael's Hospital.
He was born on March 2, 1953, in Stevens Point, to Richard and Agnes (Milanowski) Makuski Sr. and was a 1971 graduate of P.J. Jacobs High School. On March 3, 1973, he was married to Mary Hedrington at the St. Joseph Convent Chapel in Stevens Point.
For the past 43 years, Rick has worked as a maintenance engineer at the St. Joseph Convent. His interests included woodworking, stained glass, carpentry, plumbing, doing Sudoku puzzles and watching NASCAR.
Survivors include his wife, Mary of Stevens Point; son, Richard Makuski III of Stevens Point; daughter, Cindy Makuski of Amherst; mother, Agnes Turzinski of Stevens Point; grandchildren, Bradley, Richard IV, Hailey and Lucus Makuski; and siblings, Deb (Greg) Johnson of Green Bay, Todd (Julie) Makuski of Custer, Butch (Sheryl) Makuski of Stevens Point, Brian Makuski of Madison, and Donny (Nicole) Turzinski of Plover. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Richard Sr.; and his step-father, Don Turzinski.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the St. Joseph Convent Chapel, 1300 Maria Drive, Stevens Point, with the Rev. Todd Mlsna officiating. Burial will be at later date.
