Richard J. Worzalla:
Age 74, of 2782 White Pine Road, Stevens Point, died Monday, July 12, 2010 at his home after a 2 ½ year battle with cancer.

Richard was born May 6, 1936 in Mill Creek to the late Sam & Theresa (Glaza) Worzalla. He attended Green Meadow Elementary and P.J. Jacobs High Schools. He married Philomae Raflik on Nov. 7, 1959 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. The couple resided on the Worzalla Homestead since 1962.

Richard served as President of the Holy Name Society at his parish for 2 years and ushered there for 30 years.

He ran the family dairy farm since his father's death in 1964. He also served as supervisor of the Town of Carson for 28 years. In his earlier years, he worked for Nash's Cranberry Marsh and Klesmith's Rock Quarry. He also drove milk truck and worked for Dairy State Cheese factory. He was a seed sales person for Tracy Seed and Spangler Seeds.

He enjoyed playing cards, taking a once a year trip to the casino, dancing, listening to Polka & Country music. His favorite pastime was sawing lumber and logging and last but not least was teasing his Grandchildren & Great-Grandchildren.

Survivors besides his wife include One Daughter: Linda (Joe) Kawlewski of Junction City. Five Sons: David, Michael (Doreen), Ronald (Karen) & Randal (Amy) of Stevens Point and John (Jill) Worzalla of Rudolph.

10 Grandchildren: Lynn (Fiancée Doug Trudell) Olszewski, Adam (Amanda) Olszewski, Christopher (Special friend Heather Tolzman) Worzalla, Amanda, Ashley & Amber Worzalla, Eric & Sam Worzalla and Kyle & Danielle Worzalla.
2 Step-Grandchildren: Dylan & Ashley Sadogierski.
Four Great-Grandchildren: Cassie & Katie Warchala, Jade Worzalla & Alex Olszewski.

Special family members: Victoria & Dakota Pezewski. Two Sisters: Pat Lang & Arlene (Alvin) Bibby. One Brother: Sam (Helen) Worzalla.

He was preceded in death by one infant sister Mary, 3 Grandsons: Charles, Ken & Karl Olszewski & One brother-in-law: Paul Lang.

A Funeral Mass will at 10:30 AM Thursday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek. The Rev. John Potaczek will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point and from 9:00 AM until the time of services Thursday morning at the Church. A Dedication service for Richard honoring his service to the Town of Carson will be at 6:45 PM Wednesday and a general rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Wednesday both at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial in his name will be established at a later date.
