Robert Anthony Demski Sr.
Age 70, of 6444 Oak Dr. Amherst, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born May 3, 1939 in Antigo, WI. Son of the late Alex & Loretta (Mach) Demski. His marriage to Rita Rzentkowski took place on May 12, 1962 at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Fancher.
Robert was a self employed Mason for many years and also worked for Oreida/McCain Foods Inc. for 18 years, retiring in 2000.
He was a member of the Arnott Lions Club. He enjoyed Praying the Daily Rosary, hunting, fishing, woodworking, cooking, traveling, making wine and especially spending time with his family.
Survivors include his Wife, Rita. Two Sons: Robert (Jackie) Demski Jr. of Amherst & Shawn (Wendy) Demski of Stevens Point. Five Daughters: Sandy (Don) Pryne of Amherst, Mary (Mike) Laskowski of Amherst, Patty (Tom) Bey of Plover, Becky (Pete) Skibba of Stevens Point and Christina (Fiance Justin Callan) Demski of Stevens Point.
14 Grandchildren & 1 Great-Grandson. One Brother: John (Donna) Demski of Wisconsin Rapids and one Sister, Ann Marie Flees of Wausau. Preceded in death by 2 Daughters: Mary Beth & Therese Demski; 1 Son, Anthony Demski & 1 Brother, Eugene.
Requiem Mass 11:00 AM Wednesday at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Oratory of the Immaculate Conception Church in Wausau. Rev. Canon Henry Fragelli Officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Mary of Mount Carmel Cemetery in Fancher. Visitation from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point, and from 9:30 AM until the time of services Wednesday morning at the Church. A general rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
