Ronald S. Cieslewicz
Of Plover died Friday evening January 9, 2015 at Ministry- St. Jopseh's Hospital in Marshfield surrounded by his loving family.
Age 72 Ron was born October 25, 1942 in Amherst. He was the son of the late Steven and Evelyn (Dombrowski) Cieslewicz. He attended local schools.
Ronald served a eight year term with the National Guard serving as a PFC E3 with the Hq. Battery 120th Arty. 32nd Division at Fort Lewis, Washington. He served his country during the Berlin Crisis from October 1961 to August of 1962.
His marriage to Judith Nanstad took place on August 3, 1963 at St. Mary's of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Fancher. After their marriage the couple settled in the Town of Buena Vista. His wife Judith preceded him in death on July 18, 2012.
Ron worked for Del Monte in Plover for many years as a supervisor retiring in 1997.
He was a member of the Mead-Rath-Gutke American Legion Post 339 of Almond.
Ron was a very handy "fix it" man who could repair just about anything, he also enjoyed card playing, especially smear with his friends. He was also only one of four pool players to shoot pool for the Sportsman Pool League for 40 consecutive years.
Survivor include his three children Kathy (Randy) Reinders of Oshkosh, WI, Brenda Cieslewicz of Amherst Jct, and Paul Cieslewicz of Bancroft.
His eight grandchildren Amanda and Samantha Cieslewicz, Matthew and Lucas Skibba, Jakub, Jarod and Joshawa Cieslewicz . Five great grandchildren Nick, Alyssa, Connor , Genna and Maddie.
Further survived by one Brother Richard Cieslewicz of Plover and two sisters Mary (Michael) Szymkowiak of Stevens Point and Marlene (Kirby) Thorn of Iola.
He was preceded in death by his wife Judith, a granddaughter Jessica a brother Norbert and one sister Diane.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday January 14, 2015 at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Plover. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at the Funeral Home, and again in Wednesday morning from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services. Burial will follow in the Liberty Corners Cemetery in the Town of Buena Vista.
