Ronald Allan Zagorski, 83 of Custer, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2026.

Ron was born to the late Frank and Irene (Wojciechowski) Zagorski on May 2, 1943 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He attended local schools and graduated from Nicolette High School. He went on to pursue further schooling at Monmouth College and Marquette University Dental School.

Ron married Eugenia Kay Willman on August 17, 1968 in Keithsburg, Illinois. Together they raised their two sons, Michael and Mark.

Ron joined the U.S. Army as a dentist directly out of dental school in 1969. He did his training in Texas and his first tour of duty was near the DMZ in South Korea. His final station was Fort Walters Primary Helicopter Training Center in Mineral Wells, Texas.

After the military, Ron joined a dental practice in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 1977 he decided to open his private practice in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

Ron was an avid sportsman, and shared his love of hunting, fishing, and training hunting dogs with his sons. He made annual trips to Yellowstone National Park. He especially enjoyed hiking in the mountains and drift boat fishing with his sons.

He introduced his family to Walt Disney World, which started a lifelong tradition for family visits.

Ron and his Monmouth College fraternity brothers continued their friendship beyond college with biannual get-togethers.

He learned to fly an airplane, enjoyed skiing, and he loved following his sons' and grandchildren's sporting events. He was an avid Milwaukee Brewers and Wisconsin Badgers fan as well as an annual season ticket holder for the Green Bay Packers.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Irene, his in-laws, Ernest and Catherine Willman, his cousins, Gail Senk, Gloria (George) Stachowiak, his godson, Terry Stachowiak, and his nephew, Brian Dennison.

Ron is lovingly survived by his wife, Eugenia Zagorski, and his sons, Michael (Angie) and Mark (Aimee). He is further survived by his grandchildren, Mia & Max and Ava & Rhya.

He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Laurel (Randy) Dennison, his brother-in-law, Chuck (Liz) Willman, and his niece, Jill (Brian) Henry.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Ron's name to Pacelli High School or Monmouth College (700 Broadway, Monmouth IL, 61462).
