Ruth M. Skalski
Ruth M. (Bloom) Skalski, 85, formerly of 2500 Springville Drive, Plover, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007, at the North Memorial Hospice Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Ruth had called Minneapolis her home since moving there from Plover in 2005.
AGE: 85. BORN: August 18, 1921 in Milwaukee, WI. She was the daughter of John and Helen Bloom. As a teenager Ruth moved to Stevens Point with her parents and sister Marcie. She attended local schools and after high school worked for Hardware Mutual Insurance (currently Sentry Insurance) during and following World War II.
She married Gerald Skalski on August 10, 1946, in Stevens Point. They raised 5 children. Gerald owned and operated The Skalski Company for over 40 years.
Ruth was a member of St. Bronislava Catholic Church for 28 years and before that St. Stanislaus.
Her hobbies included cooking, sewing and needlework, but most of all she enjoyed her family, grandchildren, great grandchild and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald in 2003.
Memorial mass: 10:30 AM Friday, April 13th at St.Bronislava Church. Rev. James Trempe officiating. Burial to follow in church cemetery. Visitation on Friday from 9:00 AM – 10-:30 AM at the church.
