Ryan George Burhite, 42, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.

He was born on September 20, 1983, in Stevens Point, where he spent his childhood, attending local grade and middle schools and graduating from Stevens Point Area Senior High.

Ryan continued his education at Winona State University and Mid-State Technical College. He spent much of his life working in the service industry, where he found genuine joy in connecting with others and learning their stories.

Ryan was an empathetic and deeply caring person, someone who felt things fully and showed up for others with authenticity. He was larger than life, with a great sense of humor and a love for music, especially Dirty Heads.

He felt most at ease working in his garden, often barefoot, finding a quiet sense of connection and purpose there. He also loved spending time in the kitchen or at the grill, enjoying the chance to cook for others and share in their enjoyment.

Family meant everything to Ryan. He often shared that his daughter was his greatest accomplishment.

He is survived by his partner, Beth Hetzel; his daughter, Ryan Grace Burhite; his mother, Georgia Burhite; his sister, Cary Breitlow (Manuel Ortiz); his nephew, Gunnar Breitlow; and Beth’s children, Mack Hetzel, Kaley Hetzel, and Kirstin Hetzel. He was preceded in death by his father, Rich Burhite; his grandparents; and one uncle.

Ryan will be remembered for his big heart, his humor, and the way he made people feel seen, heard, and valued. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Time for gathering and reminiscing with family and friends will be held on Saturday May 23, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home, 2911 Plover Road Plover. Pisarski Funeral Homes are honored to be serving the Burhite Family.
