Stanley R. Koback
Of Stevens Point died early Wednesday evening, September 24, 2014 at Ministry- St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Age 80 Stanley was born October 26, 1933 in Wausau, WI. He was the son of the late Henry and Martha (Zoromski) Koback. He attended the Guenther School.

Stanley entered the United States Air Force on June 3, 1954 in Milwaukee, WI. He served with the 36th Communications Squadron as a 350 grade radio operator. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged on June 3, 1958.

His marriage to Alice Gagas took place on June 2, 1962 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. After their marriage the couple settled in Stevens Point. His wife Alice survives.

Stanley worked for Vetter's Window and Door Manufacturing for over 30 years in the Shipping department retiring in 1986.

Stanley loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed gardening, listening to Polka Music and the Packers.

Survivors include his wife Alice of Stevens Point, one son Michael (Debbie) Koback of Stevens Point and one granddaughter Samantha.

Further survived by one Brother Andrew (Mary) Koback of Milladore and four Sisters Emily Tokarski of Stevens Point, Bernice Breitenstein, Mary Jane (Jack) Grassl both of Mosinee and Delores (Steve) Toboyek of Knowlton.

He was preceded in death by one son David, two daughters Louise Marie and Lori Ann, three brothers Clarence, Raymond and John and two sisters Irene and Esther.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday, September 29, 2014 at St. Stephens Catholic Church. Rev. Jerzy Rebacz officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in the St. Joseph's Parish Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 9:00 A.M. Monday morning at St. Stephens Church until the time for Mass.
