Stanley J. Kossowski, age 93, of Stevens Point, passed away Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, at the Portage County Health Care Center.
He was born on May 15, 1917, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late John and Mary Kossowski. On June 16, 1945, he married Emily Zimbauer in Chicago, Ill.
Stanley had worked at the Point Bakery, Copps Corp., and retired as a custodian from UW-Stevens Point. He also sold vegetables at the Farmer's Market. His interests were woodworking, gardening and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Emily of Stevens Point; daughters, MaryAnn (Tom) Drugan of Tucson, Ariz., Joan Walloch of Jackson, Tenn., Patricia (Ronald) Gollon of Stevens Point, and Christine Peterson of Stevens Point; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by his son, David S. Kossowski; grandson, Kory Gollon; sons-in-law, Conrad Walloch and Harold Peterson; brothers, Leo and Edward Kossowski; and sisters, Wanda Marchel and Harriet Czepaniak.
The family thanks the staff at the Portage County Health Care Center for their kindness and care of Stanley.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at St. Casimir Catholic Church, in the town of Hull, with the Rev. Wesley Janowski officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
