SYLVESTER F. BUKOWSKI:
Of 1712 N. 2nd Drive, Stevens Point, died Thursday, April 12, 2007 at St. Michael's Hospital. Age: 87. Born: April 18, 1919 in the Town of Hull. Son of the late Stanley & Magdeline (Felckowski) Bukowski & his adopted parents, Michael & Veronica Ostrowski. He attended St. Casimir Catholic School.
He entered the service on March 12, 1941 at Camp Grant, Illinois. He was in the Army, serving in Europe during WWII. He received the American Defense Service Ribbon, Victory Medal, American Theater Ribbon, European/African/Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with 1 Bronze Battle Star, 1 Over Seas Service Bar, 1 Service Stripe & Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged on January 14, 1946 at Fort Sheridan, Illinois.
His marriage to Margie Bonowski took place on May 6, 1944 at St. James Catholic Church in Redondo Beach, California. After the marriage the couple settled in the town of Hull. Sylvester worked for Lullabye Furniture Factory, retiring in 1982. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, polka dancing, spending time with his grandchildren, the outdoors and raising pigeons.

FUNERAL MASS: 10:00AM Saturday at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Town of Hull. Rev. Wesley Janowski officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation Friday from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point and again on Saturday from 9:00AM until time of services at the church. Parish Rosary will be prayed at 7:00PM Friday at the funeral home.
