Tadeusz "Ted" Pirog:
84, of 3341 Minnesota Ave, Stevens Point, died Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital Wausau. Born February 5, 1926 in Osiny, Poland. Son of the late Maria & Lawrence Pirog.
Tadeusz came to the United States in 1960, settling in Chicago, Illinois. His marriage to Zuzanna Gawlowska took place in 1956 in Poland. He worked for the Worth Company in Stevens Point.
He enjoyed fishing, his pet dogs and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife: Zuzanna of Stevens Point. Daughter: Richie (Jerry) Gorke of Addison, Illinois. Sons: Mark (Alice) Pirog of Hudson, Ohio and Andy (Judy) Pirog of Stevens Point.
Grandchildren: Gerald, Gary, Ryan, Andrew Jr. and Julia.
Sisters: Mary Oracz of Chicago, Illinois and Aniela Koniczny of Poland.
Funeral Mass: 10:30am Monday, July 12, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Alan Burkhardt officiating. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation on Sunday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, Stevens Point, and again on Monday from 9:30am until time of services at the church. Parish rosary will be prayed at 5:00pm Sunday at the funeral home.
