Our beloved mother, Tecla V. Wroblewski, age 82, of Stevens Point, passed away on Friday, Sep. 6, 2013, at North Crest Assisted Living while under the care of Heartland Hospice and surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Nov. 27, 1930, in the town of Sharon, to the late John and Johanna (Lepak) Trzebiatowski and attended local schools in Polonia. On Aug. 26, 1950, her marriage to Leonard M. Wroblewski took place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia. Leonard died on March 2, 2012.
Tecla had worked at St. Michael's Hospital, the bakery at UW-SP and Donaldson's. She retired in 1994. Her interests included bowling, polka dances, gardening, baking & cake decorating, trips to the casino, church picnics and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a long-time member of both the Sacred Heart and St. Peter's Rosary Societies, as well as Moose Lodge No. 1572.
Survivors include six children, Darrell (Pat) Wroblewski of Stevens Point, JoAnn (Pete) Lorbiecki of Rosholt, Lenny (Carol) Wroblewski of Stevens Point, Cheryl (Sid) Rzentkowski of Plover, Chris (Rick) Werwonke of Custer, and Marilyn (Jerry) Sobish of Stevens Point; 15 grandchildren, Keith, Lisa, Kevin, Roberta, Peter III, Daniel, Eric, Travis, Jenni, Jessica, Matthew, Michelle, Cody, Troy and Kyle; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Eleanore (Joe) Sowik of Milwaukee; brother, Barney (Regina) Trzebiatowski of Milwaukee; and special niece and cake decorating buddy, Louise Parks of Plover. She is further survived by many other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and Leonard M. Wroblewski, Tecla was also preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, one infant brother and special friend, Ernie Pelowski.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Tecla's name at a later date.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sep. 11, 2013, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point with the Rev. Arul Joseph V. officiating. Burial will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, 703 Second Street, Stevens Point, and again in the St. Faustina Room of the church on Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time for Mass. The St. Peter's Rosary Society will lead the rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
