Theresa E. Perlak, 74, of Stevens Point, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, at home while under the care of her family and Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice.
She was born on Sep. 10, 1937, in Custer, to the late Henry and Mary (Betro) Lorbeck and was a graduate of Amherst High School. On Nov. 2, 1957, she married Leonard Perlak at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Fancher.
Theresa had worked in childcare and also Pete's Silver Coach in Park Ridge. She enjoyed motorcycling, going to the casino and especially spending time with her family.
Survivors include her loving family: husband, Leonard of Stevens Point; three sons, Randy (Jayne) Perlak and Alan (Chris) Perlak both of Stevens Point, and Kevin (Dawn) Perlak of Prescott, Ariz.; three daughters, Lynn Perlak of Appleton, Dawn Perlak-Flatoff of Wautoma, and Lisa Perlak of Stevens Point; granddaughter, Lily Perlak, along with 12 other grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Peter Lorbeck of Custer, and Nick Lorbeck of Torrance, Calif.; sisters, Marian (Roy) Dash of Beaverton, Ore., Delores (Roy) Fredrickson of Lomita, Calif., and Evelyn (Joe) Rekowski of Milwaukee; and sister-in-law, Rita Lorbeck of Menomonee Falls.
In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her siblings, Jerry, Charlotte, Margaret, Blaise and Conrad.
The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, 703 2nd Street, Stevens Point, with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. at the funeral home. For online condolences, please visit www.pisarskifuneralhome.com. (715) 344-4595.
