Therese M. Slicker:

Of 508 Fifth Ave. Stevens Point, died Tuesday, November 6, 2007 unexpectedly at the Tomah Memorial Hospital. Age: 74. Born: February 28, 1933 in Chicago, IL. Daughter of the late Joseph & Theresa (Izral) Migas. She attended grade school in Fancher and graduated from St. Joseph Academy. Her marriage to Kenneth Slicker took place on August 27, 1955 at St. Mary's of Mount Carmel, Fancher; after the marriage, the couple settled in Stevens Point. In her younger years, Therese worked at the Migas General Store in Amherst Junction then became Slicker's Shopping Center. She was an Insurance Agent for 21 years for Bankers Life & Casualty Company. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. Therese had a good relationship with all her clients.

Preceded in death by 3 infant children.

Funeral Mass: 11:00AM Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Al Burkhardt officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Parish Cemetery. Visitation on Thursday from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point and again on Friday from 10:00AM until time of services at the church. Parish Rosary will be prayed at 7:00PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials in her name will be established at a later date.
