Vicki L. Sankey

Vicki Sankey, age 62, of Plover, Wisconsin, passed away at home after a short, but fierce battle with cancer on September 21, 2026.

Vicki was born on December 28, 1963, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, the daughter of Eugene Sr. and Lucille (Clendenning) Pinkert.

On October 29, 2004, Vicki married Eugene “Gene” Sankey. Vicki retired from working at Herrschners for more than 20 years. Family was an important part of Vicki’s life, and she especially treasured time spent with those she loved. She loved bringing everyone together and hosting family holiday gatherings, creating many special memories over the years.

Vicki also enjoyed playing cards, taking trips to the casino with her dear friend, Terry Lucas, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. She had a generous heart, and she and Terry enjoyed putting together raffle baskets for local benefits and supporting others in the community.

Vicki is survived by her children, Jaclyn (Jason) Napiwocki and Brandon (Kim) Barden; her stepchildren, Troy Sankey, Todd (Kelsey) Sankey, and Lance Sankey; her beloved grandchildren, Jayden, Sydnee, and Chase Napiwocki; Avalon, Briar, and Atlee Barden, Kolten and Conner Sankey, and Aspen Sankey; and her sisters, Kay (Pat) Martin, Diana (Barry) Flatoff, and Roxana Pinkert. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Gene” Sankey; her parents, Eugene Sr. and Lucille Pinkert; her brother, Eugene Pinkert Jr.; her stepdaughter, Jullyn; and her grandchild, Trenton.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Vicki will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at St. Bronislava Catholic Church, 3200 Plover Road, Plover. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday at the church. Burial to take place in the parish cemetery.

Vicki’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Aspirus Hospice for the compassionate care, kindness, and support provided to Vicki and her family.

Vicki will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all who knew her.
