Our Beginnings

In 1915, Mary Pisarski decided to enter into the funeral profession. She became one of the first females in Illinois history to receive a Funeral Director's license. Her three sons, Edward, Eugene and Frank, followed her footsteps, operating the Pisarski and Sons Funeral Home in Chicago. In 1973, Frank Pisarski Sr. moved his family to Stevens Point and purchased the Dzikoski Funeral Home from the well-respected Funeral Director John Dzikoski. John started his funeral home in 1948. Carrying on the tradition of funeral service in Stevens Point and in Plover, Frank Jr. & David Pisarski are proud to be third-generation Funeral Directors helping the families of Stevens Point and Plover with the same professionalism and care started in 1915. Andrew Pisarski joined the staff in 2022 followed by his sister, Hannah, in 2024 becoming fourth-generation Funeral Directors in the Pisarski family.
